From: Hamish MacEwan For : The Editor (for publication) Subj: Bill Only Tells The Truth? I'm not sure close examination of the wording of statements from Microsoft, even from the Olympian heights of Bill Gates , are due great consideration. After all, do you believe every detail in this: ``Steve Ballmer, chief executive officer at Microsoft. "Windows XP will be the highest-quality Microsoft operating system ever, and Microsoft and our associates are committed to delivering a set of amazing new computing experiences that will set a new paradigm for PC users around the world."'' Microsoft says whatever it can get away with to increase profits. A few observation and much reasoning lead to error; many observations and a little reasoning to truth. -- Alexis Carrel From: Grant For : The Editor (for publication) Subj: Who visited Seattle? Can’t find the link now, but I wonder if it was Trevor Mallard (or Paul Swan?) that swallowed the sales pitch hook, line and sinker.
