For Immediate Release

Prepared by Leslie A. Kelly, Plaintiff, Kelly vs Arriba Soft, Inc.,
Internet Imaging Copyright Infringement Case

Huntington Beach, California. July 25, 2000. Leslie A. Kelly, Plaintiff,
Kelly vs Arriba Soft, Inc., announced today that the first of a number of
expected amici curiae briefs was filed by the American Society of Media
Photographers, Inc., The Author's Guild and the North American Nature
Photography Association with the Ninth Circuit Appeals Court in San
Francisco.

Napster, MP3.com and Scour.net are cases with similar issues to that of
Kelly's lawsuit alleging copyright infringement when thirty-five of his
images were taken from his website by Arriba Vista Image Searcher and used
to promote Arriba Soft's business interests. Kelly's case was the first to
involve copyright infringement by an image search engine, Arriba Vista
Image Searcher (http://arribavista.com) which subsequently changed its
name to ditto.com (but can still be accessed at http://arribavista.com).

Information about Kelly's case can be found at
http://NetCopyrightLaw.com. Arnold & Porter, retained by Kelly to
represent his appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court, filed his opening brief
on Monday, July 17, 2000. A full copy of that brief is available (pdf
format) on his website and the ASMP et al amici brief and subsequent amici
brief will be posted promptly.
