Since [The] Advantage [Group] obviously read this column, I too shall give
my feedback on the Flying Pig site.  Like the other reader,
I experienced the same problem with the site losing my
shopping basket selections after signing on, and I also
found it extremely irritating.  I would not chose to
purchase from this site again if I had a choice. I used
Flying Pig for convenience, but it turned out to be anything
but.
On the plus side, I liked the fact that you got a physical
invoice with a returns policy in the mail.  I also liked the
gift wrapping and card service.
Online retailing can be done well - CDStar for instance is
an excellent site, and I have purchased from them on several
occasions. In future, I will send CDs as gifts for my
out of town family, rather than books - choosing CDStar over
Flying Pig.
