From: Matt Ledgerwood For : The Editor (for publication) Subj: Advertising No one likes advertising on television, but we all endure it (even though it is far more annoying than banner ads or pop-ups) as it is the only way we can get free content. Some of us pay for content (Sky) and get ad free movies and sport, but there is still advertising between the movies and on the other non sport movie channels. Even in magazines that you pay for, there is a huge amount of advertising, which no one seems to complain about or mind too much. I'm not sure why people think the Internet should be any different. From: Dominic For : Right Of Reply (for publication) Subj: What's new in this world? I write again, "what's new in this world?" In terms of reading something, the only thing I find worthwhile is an academic textbook. These days, I find myself preferring to learn a skill. From: Ma Supial For : The Editor (for publication) Subj: I want to hear anything except "you heard it here first" I like your pages, but I am getting bloody tired of reading about how you are the Big All Seeing Eye! Just give us the juice, without the repetivive self rightious pat on the back! Thank you! From: Joe For : The Editor (for publication) Subj: RE:Subj: I want to hear anything except "you heard it here first" In response to the above posting by Ma Supial I * LIKE * the 'repetivive self rightious pat on the backs!' Gives the place flair and a "Bruce" feel..We have come to expect this over the last 6 years :) And he has PROVEN many times HE IS! 'The All Seeing Eye'.. Just my 2c.. (considering donation..err and not just 2c ) :)Now Have Your Say
